Dissecting Directors.

One simple question inspired this project: how did the same Ridley Scott who directed Alien and Blade Runner also make Prometheus and Exodus: Gods and Kings? Why do good directors make bad films? Does quality increase over time as they hone their skill, or is their vision diluted by huge budgets? If the intricacies of film-making are open to analysis, this is an attempt to reveal the pattern.
